Today is cause for celebration! Today I, along with several other bloggers are celebrating our friend, Barb and the anniversary of The Friday Cocktail. One year ago Barb started serving up lovely libations that have definitely impressed. Thanks to The Friday Cocktail, I learned how to make homemade Limoncello and Barb used it in one of my favorite of her creations, a Limoncello and Prosecco Cooler with Raspberry Ice Cubes. You need to see that! Gorgeous and refreshing! This Watermelon Martini also really ?wowed? me.?Each and every drink that has crossed my screen has truly been something to talk about.
I?ve spent the better part of the last 4 years unable to consume alcohol due to popping out babies but when I go out, I still want to have something that looks festive minus the alcohol. I?ve spent a lot of time drinking seltzer with a splash of cranberry and a twist of lime. It looks like I?m drinking something pink, bubbly and fun. My other ?go to? drink when abstaining from alcohol has been a good old fashion Shirley Temple. I?ve always associated it as a drink for children but they?re just so tasty that I can?t help myself!
These days I?m able to have an adult beverage now and then. When Barb asked me to join her in celebrating the anniversary of The Friday Cocktail I decided I would take my favorite virgin drink and spike it. That?s right! The Shirley Temple is all grown up. Lemon-lime soda mixed with cherry vodka, a splash of grenadine and my favorite part, garnished with cherries. I love maraschino cherries! Perhaps that?s why I adore a Shirley Temple so.
Now, let?s take a gander at what Barb is doing over on her site for the celebration, shall we? There you will find many other drinks to whet your whistle and Barb has some giveaways to mark the event as well! ?That?s right? FREE STUFF! So CLICK HERE and go see ?more cocktails, Barb?s celebratory creation and get yourself some swag while you?re at it.
Enjoy!
